Longer Yellow Light Times Coming to New Tampa

Intersections monitored by red-light cameras will be the first to be adjusted.

Last week, Tampa City Council was told that yellow lights at Tampa intersections will soon get longer, according to Tampabay.com.

The article says that the Florida Department of Transportation is asking cities to add a few tenths of a second to the times of current yellow lights.

Intersections monitored by red-light cameras will be the first be adjusted. There are 18-20 of those lights being monitored at any time, according to WTSP.com.
