Mild Week Ahead for New Tampa

While rain is in the forecast, chances for it are slight.

Sunshine, blue skies and only slight chances for rain are in the forecast for New Tampa as the workweek kicks off.

The National Weather Service’s Ruskin office is calling for a mild week ahead, according to meteorologist Richard Rude.

Rain chances on Monday are almost nonexistent, Rude said, but the possibility does creep into the picture Tuesday and continues through Friday. Those chances, however, are only set at 20 percent. If storms do arrive, Rude said to expect them in the afternoon hours.
