Motorcyclist, 23, Killed In Morris Bridge Road Crash

A 23-year-old Tampa man was killed in a Sunday crash on Morris Bridge Road.

TAMPA, FL — A Sunday crash on Morris Bridge Road that claimed the life of a 23-year-old Tampa man is under investigation by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the agency, Damien Lee Fazekas was heading south on Morris Bridge Road on a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle on March 5. At that time, Dawn Bock, 40, of Tampa was heading northbound in a 2014 Dodge Caravan.

Bock attempted a westbound turn onto Pictorial Park Drive “and struck the motorcycle with the front of the van,” according to an email from the agency. Fazekas was thrown off his bike and into a grassy area.

Deputies say Fazekas died at the scene.

No charges have been filed pending the outcome of the agency’s investigation. Deputies say alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash.
