According to a sheriff’s office report, Fornaris used his black Ford Crown Victoria to pull over a vehicle near Wild Taro Way and Curley Road after activating strobe lights and a spot light.
But the occupants of the vehicle fled and called 911 after suspecting something unscrupulous, the report states. A responding deputy found the Crown Victoria and Fornaris in the driveway of his Penta Place home.

Fornaris denied attempting to pull over the vehicle, according to the report. Fornaris began to yell and attempted to go inside his home.
When officers held him, he “refused to cooperate or calm down,” the report states. He was arrested and taken to Land O’ Lakes Jail.
Fornaris was held on $5,000 bond for impersonating an officer and $150 bond for obstructing an officer without violence.
