Back-To-School Saturday

The Shops at Wiregrass will host its Teen Vogue back-to-school event Saturday, Aug. 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event will feature Radio Disney AM 1380, games, prizes and back-to-school deals including 30 percent off Aeropostale, 10 percent off Big Star, 25 percent off Collection B, 15 percent off Express, 20 percent off Lesportsac and more.

New Tampa Regional Library's Teen Advisory Board members invite children to the library Sunday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. to learn or practice their chess skills. The library is located at 10001 Cross Creek Blvd., Tampa.

Rock On For First Responders

Local rock groups Scream Machine and Pitbull Toddler are joining forces with Cox Media to present a First Responders Tribute. The benefit concert will take place Friday, Aug. 9 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 5223 N. Orient Rd., Tampa. The donation to attend is $10 and proceeds from the concert will go to first responder charities including the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office's Lynn Sowers Memorial Foundation and the Hillsborough Firefighters Benevolent Relief Fund.

Express Yourself

Sacred Grounds Coffee House, 4819 Busch Blvd., Tampa, will host a poetry workshop with Raen Saturday, Aug. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.
