Check Out These Events for Kids at Lettuce Lake Park

The park once again will offer its Park Ranger Nature Educational Programs throughout June.

Help your kids beat the summer boredom blues. 

Lettuce Lake Park, 6920 E. Fletcher Ave., Tampa, once again is offering its Park Ranger Nature Educational Programs. 

The programs take place every weekend in June at 10 a.m. and noon.

Activities range from making a Father's Day gift to learning how to handle non-venomous snakes.

Participation is $5 per child, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Only cash payments will be accepted. Homeschool groups, children's organizations and birthday parties are welcome but are encouraged to register in advance.

Program themes are:

  • June 9 – Make a Father’s Day Gift Fish Print
  • June 15 and 16 – Non-Venomous Snakes
  • June 22 and 23 – Let’s Talk Bugs and Create Your Very Own Bug to Take Home
  • June 29 and 30 – Raising Chickens in Your Back Yard
