What's Up With Potholes?

A user posted about the roads in Meadow Pointe. So, we went over and checked them out. We'll have answers this week on what's up with those roads, as well as which are managed by the CDD. We'll also make sure you have all of the info you need about who to call when you spot a problem.

National Hot Dog Day

Yep, tomorrow is national Hot Dog Day. How do you prefer your dogs? Chicago Style or just a little mustard? What's the best spot to grab a dog in and around New Tampa? If we spot any dog-gone good deals, we'll be sure to let you know. For now, all we know is that if you download the 7-Eleven app, you can get a free hot dog there. Are they any good? By the way, sorry for all of the dog references, I couldn't help myself.

Build Your Dream House – Haunted House that Is!

Have an awesome idea for making a haunted house especially scary? Busch Gardens wants to hear from you!

The theme park is turning to Tampa Bay residents to help it plan out “key elements” for a new haunted house expected to debut in time for this year’s Howl-O-Scream, which opens Sept. 27.

Have your say on what should go into Death Water Bayou by visiting Howl-O-Scream’s Facebook page.

Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot?

As this brand new week kicks off, forecasters say rain chances are reasonably low for summertime (around 30 percent or so), but they anticipate Tampa Bay will heat up a bit.

While we won’t quite be able to fry eggs on sidewalks like those in Death Valley, highs at the start of the week could come close to the mid-90s, according to the National Weather Service.

Burlesque Anyone?

Looking for something a little different to check out when the weekend makes its way back around?

If so, you might want to put this one on your calendar. Pin Up America’s troupe “Le Teaze” is putting on a “Side Show” Saturday, July 27 in Ybor City. Check out the full details here!
