World of Beer Closing Tampa Palms Location

World of Beer in The Pointe at Tampa Palms shopping center will be closing by the end of April, according to employees at the location.

Manager Katie Brueland confirmed to Patch that the World of Beer location would be closing on April 28.

Calls and emails to a public relations representative and the World of Beer franchising office in Tampa requesting comment were not returned.

While World of Beer is closing in Tampa Palms, it’s expanding in other areas. There’s a location set to open in Brandon in May and other locations in Key West, Gainseville, Miami and Jacksonville, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Colorado scheduled to open in 2013.

World of Beer isn’t the first business in The Pointe at Tampa Palms shopping center to close its doors. Tennis & Fitness Lifestyle, 1320 Engineering, a Jazzercise studio, Panda Buffet and Cole’s BBQ have all shut down in the past two years.
