North Miami Beach Police Hunt for Shooter After Road Rage Incident Leads to Gunfire (hoodline.com) β North Miami Beach police are searching for a shooter after a road rage incident led to gunfire near Northeast 179th Terrace and 10th Avenue in a predominantly Orthodox Jewish neighborhood. No injuries have been reported, but residents were forced to take cover, and investigators are now looking for a Kia. Anyone with information is urged to contact NMB police or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.

2. North Miami Beach Uber driver arrested for alleged lewd conduct on teen passenger (nbcmiami.com) β A North Miami Beach resident working as an Uber driver has been arrested after a teen passenger reported he made repeated sexual comments and touched her during a ride in northeast Miami-Dade. The incident allegedly occurred Sunday between Aventura and Sunny Isles Beach, and the girl recorded part of the conversation before reporting it. The driver is facing a lewd and lascivious conduct charge.

3. DeSantis announces $30M for environmental restoration in South Florida (wlrn.org) β North Miami Beach is in line for a share of nearly $30 million in new state funding aimed at improving water quality and infrastructure across South Florida. The money will help convert septic tanks to sewer, upgrade wastewater systems, and bolster stormwater projects in several Miami-Dade cities. Additional funds will support long-term coral reef restoration off Floridaβs coast.

4. CAIR Florida plans to sue DeSantis for designating it a 'foreign terrorist organization' (wuwf.org) β North Miami Beach was the backdrop Tuesday as Gov. Ron DeSantis said he welcomes a lawsuit from CAIR Florida over his order labeling the group a foreign terrorist organization. CAIR leaders, speaking in Tampa, argue the move is unconstitutional and vow to challenge it in court, while the governor says the case could open the door to subpoenaing the groupβs records.

(Nextdoor Windward) - Hello windward neighbors please be in the lookout in my street NE 179th Street i have no water in my house and informed the city of nmb plus a fire hydrant exploded located at NE 178th Terrace corner facing the snake creek canal.
