• Towne Square in Ocoee sells for $18.1 million (orangeobserver.com) — A major Ocoee shopping hub just changed hands, with Towne Square on West Colonial Drive selling for $18.1 million to Florida-based JBL Asset Management. The 126,000-square-foot center, anchored by Gabe’s and My Salon Suite, has seen tenant and capital improvements over the past decade aimed at boosting traffic and serving nearby residents.
   

• There have been 14 reports of Legionnaires' disease in Florida (floridainsider.com) — Health officials are investigating at least 14 Legionnaires’ cases in Central Florida, with attention on a Crunch Fitness location in Ocoee, though state testing there has so far found no Legionella bacteria. The gym reports all 20 environmental samples tested negative, even as the Department of Health continues a broader probe affecting Ocoee and nearby Pine Hills. Residents are reminded that Legionnaires’ disease is a serious but treatable pneumonia linked to contaminated water systems, not person-to-person spread.
   

• FHSAA realignment sees Edgewater jump to state's large class 6A (orlandosentinel.com) — Ocoee High’s football team will share a new Class 6A district with Edgewater, Dr. Phillips, Olympia and West Orange starting in the 2026 season, changing who Knights fans will see on Friday nights. The FHSAA’s latest realignment reshuffles districts across Central Florida, with several nearby schools moving classifications to chase tougher schedules and better playoff positioning.
