1. Chicken wing chain Wingstop is joining the chicken sandwich wars with a trial run in select markets, including Orlando. A total of 11 new chicken sandwiches are on the menu. The chain said the sandwiches would only be available for a limited time, but did not say when the test sales would conclude. (Click Orlando)

2. Governor Ron DeSantis said Monday that Florida, rather than any local government, would take control of a taxing district that benefits Walt Disney Co. when the district is dissolved next year. Florida lawmakers last month, at the governor's request, voted to dissolve Reedy Creek as of June 2023. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

3. The Orlando City Council voted unanimously on Monday to enter a multi-year lease for Orlando Fringe to operate the performance space at 54 W. Church Street in the former Mad Cow theatre space. (Bungalower)

4. A 20-year-old man was scheduled to face a judge on Tuesday afternoon after police said he shot a man in downtown Orlando. Mike Thomas is facing a second-degree attempted murder charge and burglary. Two teenagers were also arrested in connection with the shooting. (WFTV)

5. Allegiant Airlines announced Tuesday it will provide nonstop flights from Orlando Sanford International Airport to Akron, Ohio, beginning October 6 and to Provo, Utah, beginning December 15. One-way fares to the Ohio destination will be as low as $38 and at least $105 for one-way flights to Provo. (Fox 35 Orlando)
