Here are the top stories today in Orlando:

1. A special session called by Governor Ron DeSantis and supported by Republican legislators began Monday to discuss legislation to protect employees from the national vaccine mandate. Democrats are calling the special session a politically-motivated tactic by DeSantis to further a bid for the White House. (Tampa Patch)

2. A Florida woman whose husband unsuccessfully sued for ivermectin treatment has died from COVID-19. Palm Beach County Circuit Judge James Nutt rejected the lawsuit last month, saying that allowing judges to counter doctor's decisions could set a dangerous precedent. (Click Orlando)

3. The final stretch of the Sanford Riverwalk is now complete. The path connects to a coast-to-coast trail system that goes from as far as St. Petersburg to the space coast. It is 5-miles long and loops around Lake Monroe. The project cost taxpayers about $43 million. (WFTV)

4. Curry Ford West has brought back its interactive selfie stations for this holiday season with a Picture Perfect Holiday starting Saturday, December 4th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The booths will be free and made by volunteers. (Bungalower)

5. A member of the Brevard County Fire Rescue staff is under investigation for allegedly making racially insensitive remarks to a shooting victim being transported to a hospital. Brevard County Commissioner Bryan Lober referenced it during a commission meeting on Tuesday. Lober called for workplace cultural training for the department. (Click Orlando)
