Celebrate National Lamb Day At AVA MediterrAegean Winter Park
The Central Florida restaurant will offer a lamb special to mark the occasion.
ORLANDO, FL - Celebrate National Lamb Day on Tuesday, May 24th at AVA MediterrAegean, Winter Park. AVA is Florida's newest chef-driven restaurant and lounge. Its dishes infuse the flavorful and colorful ingredients, the philosophy, and the culture of healthy and balanced eating of the Mediterranean diet, well known for its numerous health benefits including, life longevity.
To celebrate the occasion, AVA will be offering a Rack of Lamb (Half Rack - $48 / Full Rack - $85) featuring marinated New Zealand lamb cooked to your ideal temperature and served with a side of thyme infused olive oil. The dish pairs beautifully with various side dishes, including the restaurant's signature Ratatouille Biyaldi.
National Lamb Day was initially celebrated on February 12th to mark the date in 1882 when the Dunedin left Port Chalmers for London with a cargo full of frozen meat. However, in 2018 the date was moved to May 24th to reflect the arrival of the shipment from London.

Dishes are meant to be shared, reinforcing AVA MediterrAegean’s philosophy of “parea,” a Greek word referring to a group of family, friends, or guests gathering together to have a great time and enjoy each other’s company. Reservations can be made online.
