A long-standing settlement for a woman whose children suffered permanent injuries in a crash with a state trooper south of Ocala now awaits approval from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who received the authorizing bill Friday afternoon. Orlando woman Christeia Jones stands to receive $7.5 million, far less than original amount proposed by the state legislators. (Florida Politics)
2. Family-owned restaurant, Mediterranean Blue has announced that it will be shutting down at the end of the month. The popular Greek restaurant was founded by brother and sister team Bob and Gail Givoglu and was inspired by their mother, who hailed from Thessaloniki, Greece. (Bungalower)
3. When the new Terminal C at Orlando International Airport opens later this year, it will give travelers a local taste of what Orlando has to offer. The airport announced 24 food offerings coming to the new terminal, with several local businesses opening locations. (Click Orlando)
4. Orange County deputies are investigating a deadly shooting on Bentwood Street. According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 6500 block of Bentwood Street at 12:40 p.m. for a burglary in progress in a home and found a male in his 30s who had been shot by the homeowner. 5. Chicken Guy! is now serving breakfast in Winter Park, a test run for the brand ran by Guy Fieri. The menu includes a version of chicken and waffles, a pancake chicken tender sandwich, and breakfast classics. (Orlando Weekly)
