🌱 CVS Closing 900 Stores + Fashion Square Revitalization Plans + OCLS In-Person Programs

Here are the top stories today in Orlando:

1. Orange County Library Systems has announced expanded services and a return to in-person programming beginning next year. The library will continue to offer virtual events in addition to the in-person options. (Bungalower)

2. Orlando's Fashion Square has submitted plans to revitalize the mall with new shops and an outdoor plaza. The plan also includes a brand new hotel and over 1,000 new apartments. The city must give the plan final approval before it can proceed. (WESH)

3. Officials with CVS Health announced plans this week to close 300 retail stores each year for the next three years for a total of 900 total stores while adding more health services to its remaining locations. An investor's note says the closures are due to CVS having “too many overlapping locations." No list of impacted stores has been released as of this time. (WFTV)

4. Deputies in Brevard County say a naked Clearwater man was arrested for beating and choking a woman that he’d just hit with his car Thursday afternoon. 33-year-old Daniel Patregnani was arrested on an attempted murder charge and is being held without bond. (Fox 35 Orlando)

5. Former NFL running back Zac Stacy made his first court appearance on Friday morning following his arrest at the Orlando International Airport. Stacy is accused of attacking a woman inside a home in Oakland, Florida. (Click Orlando)
