1. Orlando Sichuan restaurant, Taste of Chengdu, is reopening its long-shuttered West Colonial location this week. Owner, Xiong “Tiger” Tang, will reopen the Rock Lake-based restaurant on May 12, on a first-come, first-served basis with reservations resuming in June. (Bungalower)

2. A woman was found dead Monday afternoon in downtown Orlando, police said. The woman’s body was found around 1 p.m. in the 600 block North Orange Avenue near the Orange County Clerk of Courts building. Police are treating the case as a homicide. (Click Orlando)

3. As part of their year-long 50 Years y Más Celebration, Hope CommUnity Center is hosting the City of Apopka's first-ever Pride Celebration on Saturday, May 14, at noon at its 800 South Hawthorne Avenue location in Apopka. Apopka's first-ever pride event is in partnership with 26Health, Come Out with Pride, Contigo Fund, Descolonizarte Teatro, One Orlando Alliance, and Peer Support Space. (The Apopka Voice)

4. Seminole County says that photos of students protesting Florida's "Don't Say Gay" bill in March will be covered up before the books are released to students. The yearbook photos that Lyman High School wants to cover show students holding a "Love is Love" sign and rainbow flags during a walkout protest in March. (WESH)

5. City of Winter Park recently posted to its Facebook page that its popular lakefront park, Dinky Dock is closed to swimming. The reason given for the closure was “elevated bacterial levels” in Lake Virginia, which is a regular occurrence during the warmer months. (Bungalower)
