1. The Walt Disney Company recently announced that it will start reintroducing traditional character greetings at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, as well as aboard Disney Cruise Line as early as April 18. Disney said it anticipates reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer. (Orlando Patch)
2. The attorney representing a Marion County man arrested for his involvement in the Capitol Hill riot has been disbarred, prompting a hearing set for Thursday in the nation's capitol. Jonathon Mosley's license was revoked on April 1 for "violating professional rules that govern safekeeping property; meritorious claims and contentions; candor toward the tribunal; fairness to opposing party and counsel; unauthorized practice of law, multijurisdictional practice of law; bar admission and disciplinary matters; judicial officials; and misconduct." Mosely was hired to represent Kelly Meggs of Dunnellon, who was the Florida leader of the Oath Keepers group on January 6, 2021 and has been charged with conspiring sedition. 3. A crash involving a SunRail train and a truck shut down a Seminole County intersection on Wednesday morning. Firefighters said no one was injured in the crash and no fuel leaked. (WFTV)
4. An art teacher at Creekside Middle School in Port Orange was arrested on campus Tuesday for disrupting school activities and disorderly conduct. Police say teacher Martin Reese was playing loud music with the intent to disrupt FSA testing which was underway on campus and refused to turn down the music. (WESH)
5. According to the City of Orlando's Main Street Administrator, the City District (formerly known as Church Street Main Street) will now be known as the "Downtown Orlando District" and they will soon be looking for a new executive director. The City of Orlando approved a strategic expansion of the Church Street Main Street program in 2019 that created the new City District which included the Parramore neighborhood under its umbrella. - The Engelwood Neighborhood Center will host an Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. This event is for children ages 5-15 and their families. (Twitter)
