1. City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer tweeted Thursday that he has appointed Charlie Salazar as Orlando Fire Department's next chief. Salazar brings three decades of experience to the position. (WFTV)
2. The man convicted of killing two Kissimmee police officers was sentenced Friday to death. Everett Miller has been awaiting his sentencing for years after a jury recommended the death penalty in 2019. (WESH)
3. The Walt Disney Co. is listing jobs in preparation for its relocation of some California operations to Orlando's Lake Nona community. Two Walt Disney Imagineering job postings were listed on its site directly referring to relocation to Orlando in two years in 2024. (WFTV)
4. Authorities are seeking information after a teenager was shot and dropped off at an Apopka hospital early Tuesday. He later died, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information. (Fox 35 Orlando)
5. The trio behind ghost kitchen Doshibox Korean Kitchen, Gene Kim, Michael Gillette and Ray Gillette are leaving their spot inside Collab Kitchens to open a modern, chef-driven Korean restaurant called Doshi. Restaurateurs Johnny and Jimmy Tung are also partners in the venture. (Orlando Weekly)
