1. City of Orlando is looking to establish “Quiet Zones” in the downtown core that will ban the use of train horns at every public highway-rail grade crossing. The restrictions are expected to go into effect on January 31st, 2022, and will be effective 24 hours a day. (Bungalower)

2. Orange County has a "substantial" level of coronavirus transmission as of December 3rd, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There were 59.1 new cases per 100,000 residents between November 25th and December 1st. (Patch Orlando)

3. A 72-year-old Sumter County woman named Joan Halstead was arrested Monday for casting more than one ballot in an election, deputies said. Halstead has been a registered Republican voter since June 2020. Police did not say which election she cast more than one ballot in. (Click Orlando)

4. The parking lot trams at Disney World’s theme parks will soon resume operation, the resort said on Thursday. The trams will begin operations at Magic Kingdom and expand next year to all parks. (Spectrum News 13)

5. Altamonte Springs is testing its wastewater to check for the new omicron COVID-19 variant. The city has been the lead agency for testing wastewater for more than a year and experts expect lab results on Monday. No cases of the omicron variant have currently been reported yet in Florida. (WFTV)
