1. Three people are in custody after an incident where Lake County sheriff's deputies opened fire Monday. Lake County deputies say there was an attempt to use a stolen credit card at a Walmart in Leesburg. They also said the suspects attempted to ram a deputy. (WESH)
2. Dr. Raul Pino, who led the Florida Health Department in Orange County through the bulk of the coronavirus pandemic and was reprimanded the Florida Surgeon General for discussing vaccines with employees, now has a new job. Pino will now serve as Orange County Health Services Director. (Click Orlando)
3. Orange County Fire Rescue said a helicopter crashed in Lake Apopka early Tuesday. The helicopter crash happened in Oakland near Hull Island Drive. The pilot was brought to shore by a private boat and was the only person on the helicopter. (WFTV)
4. A new billboard campaign from the Human Rights Campaign, one of the nations leading LGBTQ rights groups, is labeling Florida as the "Don't Say Gay or Trans" state. The billboards, which are located in Orlando, Tampa and Tallahassee for the next four weeks, read "Gov. Ron DeSantis welcomes you to Florida the "Don't Say Gay or Trans" state, with the word "Sunshine" crossed out. The group also has plans for billboards in the Miami area. (Orlando Weekly)
5. Quantum Leap Winery will host a Mother's Day Market on May 1 featuring food vendors, local makers, bakers, and a polaroid pop-up with libations to enjoy. Quantum Leap Winery is located at 1312 Wilfred Drive. (Bungalower)
