Here are the top five stories today in Orlando:

1. The City of Orlando and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) are entering a Local Funding Agreement that will allow for the expansion of the existing SunRail station at the LYNX Central Station in downtown Orlando. The expansion is expected to cost $470,000. (Bungalower)

2. The step-father of a boy rescued by an Orlando restaurant server/manager who noticed the child had bruises has been found guilty on multiple abuse charges, according to the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office. Timothy Lee Wilson, 36, has been found guilty on charges of false imprisonment, aggravated child abuse with a weapon, aggravated child abuse and child neglect charges. (Click Orlando)

3. The onePULSE Foundation, a non-profit established to honor and preserve the legacy of those killed in the PULSE shooting, announced the award of one of 49 Legacy Scholarships on Monday. Thuy-Thuong Nguyen of Davie, Florida was on hand at CITY Furniture’s Altamonte Springs showroom to accept a $10,000 onePULSE Legacy Scholarship in honor of Tevin Crosby. (WFTV)

4. A 2-year-old child in East Orange County found a loaded gun and fatally shot his father in the back, according to Orange County Sheriff John Mina on Monday afternoon. Both of the boy's parents are convicted felons on probation and left a loaded gun out in the house, the sheriff added. (WESH)

• The Orlando Magic have released their pre-season schedule. The opener comes against the Memphis Grizzlies on October 3 at 8 p.m., followed by a Texas two-step back-to-back against the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks on October 6 and 7, with both games scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. slot.
