1. MegaCon Orlando is running all weekend long. The Southeast's ultimate comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event has returned filled with celebrity encounters and endless programming at the Orange County Convention Center for fans to enjoy. (Orlando Patch)

2. Goff’s Drive In has been in Orlando since 1948, but a fire ripped through their shop on Friday morning and the owner said it is the second time in two weeks the business has been targeted by someone. The owner says they will not give up though. (WESH)

3. Walt Disney Company’s chief financial officer, Christine McCarthy, hinted this week that the 'Encanto' IP could be coming soon to Walt Disney World in Orlando. "Something that’s not yet really in the parks, but I think you will see it soon is something like ‘Encanto,’" McCarthy said. (Florida Politics)

4. In a long and heated discussion that included two hours of presentations, comments and a debate on both sides, the Apopka City Council failed to pass Ordinance 2931, a public comments ordinance to codify a 2016 resolution on the same subject. One commissioner missed the meeting due to a COVID-19 diagnosis. (The Apopka Voice)

5. The Osceola County School Board voted Tuesday to censure board member Jon Arguello, based on the findings of an investigation into harassing comments he made against the head of a local charity and frequent School District business partner. By a 3-2 vote, the board agreed to send the findings of an investigation brought by A Hero For Kids’ John Kalish to the Florida Governors’ Office for review. (Osceola-News Gazette)
