1. The Pine Hills Church at 2425 North Hiawassee Road was destroyed Monday night in a fire. Firefighters remained on the scene Tuesday morning after the fire. No one was injured and an investigation is underway. (Spectrum News 13)
2. A University of Central Florida (UCF) student is speaking out and warning others she discovered a spy camera was recording her through her bedroom window. Investigators say 54-year-old Vernon Crider placed the spy camera in her window. (Fox 35 Orlando)
3. Orange County Animal Services is near capacity with 174 dogs in its care right now, adoptions are needed. 35 of the dogs at the shelter are available for adoption. (Bungalower)
4. The Fall Festival is back at Osceola Heritage Park this weekend from Friday to Sunday and will include fair food, carnival games, and rides. The event was held last year to help concessionaires who were struggling due to the pandemic and became quite popular. (Osceola News-Gazette)
5. Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo on Tuesday defended his decision not to wear a mask when attempting to meet with a state senator who told him she had a serious medical condition and is being treated for breast cancer. Ladapo said he cannot communicate clearly “when half of my face is covered.” (CBS 4)
