1. Fired: Orange County Fire Rescue battalion chief Stephen Davis has been fired for not reprimanding unvaccinated firefighters, according to a termination letter. Davis was hired in April 2007 and promoted to battalion chief in 2018. (WESH)

2. Itsa Chicken is now open in Orlando's Milk District. The fried chicken window is located at Whiskey Lou's at 121 North Bumby Avenue. Updates are being posted to social media and its website. (Bungalower)
3. The Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) is calling for partners in its goal to power all customer homes and businesses with 100% clean energy by 2050. University of Central Florida and Orlando City Soccer have already joined in the effort. OUC plans to phase out its two coal plants and transition to solar, natural gas and other sources of renewable energy. (WMFE)

Electric Vehicles: Florida lawmakers have begun the process of discussing on how the state might spend its share of the $7.5 billion in the federal infrastructure bill earmarked for building new electric vehicle charging stations. Lawmakers said more charging stations are needed to meet growing demand despite more than 4,000 chargers already in-state. (Spectrum News 13)
5. Titusville waitress Lang Vo lost her lotto winnings to a Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) overpayment issue. She received $175 instead of $1,000 with an explanation that the missing funds were directed to the DEO because of an unemployment benefits overpayment. (Click Orlando)
