1. A flight attendant from Frontier Airlines is being applauded for helping deliver a baby mid-flight on the way to Orlando. The new mother gave her daughter the middle name "Sky" to commemorate the unusual circumstances surrounding her birth, according to the airline. (Orlando Patch)
2. A former Central Florida figure skating coach pleaded guilty to sexually battering a former student when she was 12 years old. Andrei Berekhovski admitted he was one of the child’s primary caretakers when he sexually battered her back in 2005. Judge Renee Roche accepted a plea deal for three years behind bars with credit for time served if Berekhovski pleaded guilty to one of three sexual battery counts. (Click Orlando)
3. Workers at an Orlando-area Starbucks began voting by mail ballot this week to join a nationwide union drive, after filing a petition for union representation earlier this year. At least a few dozen workers at this store, including full-time and part-time baristas and shift supervisors, will vote on whether to unionize with Starbucks Workers United. (Orlando Weekly)
4. Osceola County Sheriff's Office is recommending that an Osceola County deputy be charged following a fire at a gas station that severely burned a motorcyclist. Sources say the sheriff’s office is recommending that Deputy David Crawford be charged with culpable negligence, which is a misdemeanor. (WFTV)
5. State Attorney Monique H. Worrell and the Ninth Judicial Circuit community engagement team held their first Osceola County community townhall meeting at Kissimmee Civic Center on Monday. "The purpose of the townhall meetings is to be engaged," Worrell said. (Osceola News-Gazette)
