Here are the top five stories in Orlando today:
1. Taiwanese bubble tea chain Happy Lemon is opening soon. It will be just four minutes away from the University of Central Florida (UCF) at 11565 University Boulevard. The location will be its first Florida outpost. (Orlando Weekly)
2. A woman was found dead at an Altamonte Springs apartment complex and police are interviewing a person of interest. Police responded to a well-being check at 909 Ballard Street Tuesday morning, near Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Eastmonte Park. No more details have been released as of Tuesday afternoon. 3. Orange County's state representative, Geraldine Thompson, is drafting a bill in honor of Tyre Sampson, the 14-year-old who fell to his death at Orlando Free Fall in ICON Park this past March. The bill would demand adjustments that focus on safety at thrill rides and amusement parks. (WESH)
4. Anime Festival Orlando, a celebration of Japanese animation and pop culture, returns this weekend to the Wyndham Orlando Resort after being canceled last year due to safety precautions for COVID-19. This is the convention's 10th year. (Click Orlando)
5. Universal Orlando Resort will celebrate the Fourth of July this year with live music, character meet-and-greets, as well as fireworks. The festivities will run from 5 p.m. to park close and are included with theme park admission. (Spectrum News 13)
