Here are the top stories in Orlando today:

1. Thornton Park is printing a calendar of neighborhood cat, Lulu. Last year's crowd-sourced calendar sold out and the tradition is returning. Lulu was named “Best Non-Human Ambassador of Downtown Orlando.” Photo submissions of Lulu will be accepted until Thursday, December 9th. (Bungalower)

2. The anime-themed ramen restaurant Soupa Saiyan is planning a soft opening for its third location, Soupa Saiyan 3, on Wednesday, December 8th. The restaurant will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day. (Click Orlando)

3. The UCF Knights will face the Florida Gators at Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa on Thursday, December 23rd. It will be the first game for the Gators under new head coach Billy Napier. (WFTV)

4. Melbourne Police Department is investigating the death of an 18-year-old sophomore at Florida Institute of Technology who was killed in an officer-involved shooting. Police say Alhaji Sow was shot after holding a knife inside one of the student housing buildings on campus. (WESH)

5. The Florida Supreme Court has again overturned established constitutional law by upholding a maximum sentence imposed on a Leon County man deemed to have shown inadequate remorse because he insisted on protesting his innocence. (Florida Phoenix)
