1. Orlando Fire Chief Benjamin Barksdale has resigned citing a legal case where he’s accused of punching two people inside a North Carolina restaurant. He sent an email that said his decision was in the “best interest” of the city. (WFLA)

2. The Orlando Magic lost their home opener to the New York Knicks 121-96. Amway Center in downtown Orlando allowed a full crowd for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began for the game. (Spectrum News 13)

3. Brevard County Schools changed their mask policy to allow a parental opt-out on Friday, a win for Governor DeSantis and the state government. The school district says the change is due to a drop in COVID-19 cases in the county. (WESH)

4. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a serious crash that occurred Saturday night with 15 vehicles on SR-417. 24 people were impacted. Street racing or road rage is suspected. Charges are pending once the investigation is complete. (WFTV)

5. Florida election supervisors are pleading with GOP candidates to move away from "stolen election" rhetoric. They shared, "many of us have been threatened by our fellow citizens who have been led astray by these deceptions." (Orlando Weekly)
