Here are the top five stories in Orlando today:
1. Orange County commissioners discussed the idea of rent control on Tuesday as the affordable housing crisis continues. Dozens of people attended the meeting, with many landlords saying they have to charge more, and renters saying it is forcing people out of their homes. (WESH)
2. Winter Park will host its 27th annual 4th of July Celebration on Monday, July 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park and the Tiedtke Amphitheater. The event is free and open to the public and attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. (Bungalower)
3. Tiger Woods-backed golf attraction, PopStroke, will open in Orlando on Monday, June 13 at 9 a.m. Popstroke will also feature a restaurant that will serve assorted eats and beer for guests to enjoy. It will be located inside the Waterford Lakes Town Center at 321 North Alafaya Trail. (Orlando Weekly)
4. Steve White, owner of Porkie's Original BBQ in Apopka, said he is cutting the price of some of his menu items to help those who may be struggling financially. The specials start at $9.99 for a sandwich, two sides, and a drink. (Fox 35 Orlando)
5. A man was killed in a shooting near a Kissimmee SunRail station on Tuesday evening, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Police said they were called to the Sunrail Train Station, located at 3205 S. Orange Avenue, regarding a shooting just before 11 p.m. (WFTV)

- A judge has ruled a 10-year-old girl charged with second-degree murder will remain in detention, held for 21 days, pending a decision from the State Attorney’s Office on formal charges. (WESH)
