1. The Orlando City Council approved a $6.95 million award to Gibbes and Register, Inc., to build a new bike trail just south of downtown called Downtown Connector Trail. It will connect Summerlin Avenue to Lake Underhill Road and is expected to be completed by 2024. (Bungalower)

2. An Italian restaurant chain owned by The Cheesecake Factory called North Italia has opened its first Orlando location at 7335 West Sand Lake Road. They offer pasta, wood fired pizza, and other Italian food fare. (Orlando Sentinel)

3. An Orlando woman says she was lucky enough to escape the crowd at Astroworld in Houston. 8 people died at the festival and dozens were injured. 20-year-old Kidzya Rodriguez dreamed of going to Astroworld for years and now is not sure if she will attend another festival or concert after her experience. 4. Orlando Health leaders held a groundbreaking for a new hospital in Lake Mary on Tuesday. The new hospital will have 180 beds in two six-story towers with the ability to expand up to 240 beds. (WFTV)

5. SeaWorld Entertainment reported a net income of $102.1 million in the third quarter and enjoyed increased profits and attendance as the company recovers from the impact of the pandemic. Attendance reached 7.2 million people despite a lack of international travelers. (Spectrum News 13)
