1. A group of people are now suing state leaders over the decision to get rid of Disney's Reedy Creek District, saying it was only passed to punish Disney, and subsequently taxpayers. The goal of the lawsuit is to get a judge to toss out the law that would dissolve Reedy Creek. (WESH)
2. The Volusia County Council on May 3 unanimously approved sending a letter to the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission asking for more involvement in discussion of the proposed SunRail/Brightline corridor. SunRail could connect with Orlando International Airport, the Orange County Convention Center and Walt Disney World, while Brightline would lease the route and connect to Tampa. (WFTV)
3. New documents show a former Apopka police officer charged for his involvement in the Capitol Hill riot served as a leader of a local Proud Boys chapter at the time of his arrest. FBI agents arrested Nathaniel Tuck and his father Kevin Tuck in July and charged them in connection with the January 6 Insurrection on Capitol Hill. (Click Orlando)
4. Breakfast giant Denny's has purchased Orlando-based Keke's Breakfast Cafe for $82.5 million. The brand was originally called Florida Waffle Stop. Keke's expanded to include eight company-owned locations and 44 franchises. The 52 locations are heavily concentrated in the Tampa and Orlando I-4 corridor. (Orlando Weekly)
5. One of the lawyers representing the family of the man who was killed when two Osceola County deputies opened fire in the parking lot of a Target is questioning why none of the responding members of law enforcement were wearing body cameras. Questions remain as to whether deputies were required to wear their body cameras when responding to that scene. (Click Orlando)

- Orlando police Chief Orlando Rolón is retiring. His last day is August 8. He's been the top cop for three years and is coming up on his 30th year in law enforcement. (Twitter)
- One man was shot and killed on Wednesday night in Seminole County. According to the sheriff's office, deputies were called to Sanford Avenue around 10 p.m. (WESH)
