1. A judge will rule on the future of Florida's school mask mandate ban within the next two weeks. The lawsuit against the ban was filed by school boards in Alachua, Broward, Duval, Miami-Dade, Orange and Leon counties. A decision will be reached by November 5th. (Orlando Weekly)

2. Safer Streets: An Orlando crosswalk near Central Florida Leadership Academy is using infrared heat technology to detect pedestrians. It is part of City of Orlando's Vision Zero initiative to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries by 2040. (Fox 35 Orlando)
3. Thornton Park Main Street will host its 8th Annual Halloween Block Party on Saturday, October 30th from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets are now on sale. (Bungalower)
4. Booster shots: Starting today eligible people can get the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson booster shot at Barnett Park, according to Orange County's social media channels. A filled vaccination card from 6 months prior is required for a booster shot. Barnett Park's vaccine and testing services are available 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 4801 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32808. (WESH)
5. Shaquille O’Neal sold his Windermere mansion for $11 million on Friday. He purchased the home for less than $4 million in 1993 after signing a contract with the Orlando Magic. (WFTV)
