Today is November 11th, Veterans Day. Veterans Day was created after World War I as Armstice Day and renamed Veterans Day in 1954. The day honors military veterans who have fought for freedom in the United States.

1. Veteran's Day: There are numerous businesses, restaurants and entertainment venues offer freebies or discounts to veterans in honor of Veterans Day. State parks, American Social, World of Beer, Metro Diner, and Joella's Hot Chicken are just a few of the spots participating. (Patch Tampa)

2. Orlando City SC has made it to the playoffs for the second year in a row with a 2-0 victory against Montreal. The Major League Soccer team ranked 6th place in the Eastern Conference. The Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs will kick off on November 20th. (Bungalower)

3. Nearly 600 U.K. travelers arrived in Orlando on Monday as the international travel ban was lifted. Some people arriving were family members being reunited in person for the first time in nearly 2 years since the pandemic hit. (Spectrum News 13)
