1. Orlando’s Downtown Development Board/CRA has hired Justin Eason as its new Nighttime Economy Manager. Eason has a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Central Florida and has 10 years in downtown hospitality industry experience. (Bungalower)

2. Florida lawmakers are looking at a proposal to address toxic algae and direct money toward long-term solutions. Governor Ron DeSantis recently announced that his 2022-2023 budget proposal will include $35 million to combat algae blooms and increase water quality monitoring. (Fox 13 Tampa)

3. Sanford city officials met on Thursday to discuss the revitalization of the Seminole Towne Center, starting with potential zoning changes. Officials want to help the struggling mall repurpose. (Click Orlando)

4. The Central Florida International Auto Show is happening at the Orange County Convention Center this weekend. The event features hundreds of new models, an off-road indoor test track, test drives, and more. The show is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Saturday, as well as 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. 5. City of Orlando and Orange County will proclaim December 3rd as Walt Disney World Day, officials said. An official proclamation will be given in honor of Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings. (Fox 35 Orlando)
