1. A woman is dead after a 10-year-old shot her following a fight with the girl's mother late Monday night, according to the Orlando Police Department. The shooting happened just before midnight along the 1400 block of Mercy Drive, police said. (Orlando Patch)
2. The Christner family is celebrating a special anniversary on Friday, June 24 to honor 29 years of dining in Orlando at Christner's Prime Steak & Lobster located at 729 Lee Road. Proceeds from their anniversary dinner will benefit Aspire Health Partners, a non-profit 501(c)3 behavioral healthcare organization. (Orlando Patch)
3. A 19-year-old woman, shot and killed early Wednesday at an Orange County apartment complex has been identified, deputies said. The Orange County Sheriff's Office said Raniyah A’shanti Gandy died in the shooting, which occurred at around 3 a.m. at The Park at Highgate on North Powers Drive near Silver Star Road. 4. Protesters rallied on Wednesday at Orlando City Hall to call for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to be removed from office. Student activist Jack Petocz promoted the event on his Twitter page. He called DeSantis' time in office a "reign of terror." (WESH)
5. Long-running College Park restaurant PR’s Taco Palace has been sold to new owners. The restaurant will be temporarily closed this month to make some minor changes. The restaurant will be closed from Wednesday, June 1 through Monday, June 6, and reopen on Tuesday, June 7 at 11 a.m., with bar service ending at 4 p.m. (Bungalower)
