Burglary Attempt Foiled By Palm Harbor Store Employee, Customer, Deputies Say
A homeless man's alleged attempt to break into the safe at Plato's Closet clothing store went awry thanks to actions by an employee and customer, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office reports.

A Palm Harbor clothing store employee and a customer foiled a homeless man's buglary attempt Monday afternoon, holding the suspect down until deputies could arrive and arrest him, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say the suspect, George E. Nunnally, 59, entered , 33211 U.S. 19 N., around 1:15 p.m. and headed toward the back of the business, entering an employees-only room.
Store employee Kayli Gibbons, 31, of Palm Harbor, saw the back room door close "and knew something was not right," a sheriff's office spokersperson said. Gibbons went in the room and found Nunnally seated at a desk and attempting to break into the store safe, the spokesperson said.

Gibbons proceeded to block the door to prevent the suspect from leaving.
Nunnally, however, in an effort to get away, got into in a physical altercation with Gibbons, causing her some minor injuries, the sheriff's office said.
Nunnally got out into the main store and then ran out the front door of the
business. But customer Dominick Deangelin, 22, of Spring Hill, ran after him, grabbed him in a bear hug, brought him back into the business and held him down on the ground until deputies arrived.
Deputies arrested Nunnally and charged him with burglary/battery. Nunnally, who is a transient from California, was transported to a local hospital for clearance before being taken to Pinellas County Jail, deputies said. He was not armed, deputies said.
