Palm Harbor Artist a Finalist in Martha Stewart Contest
Rosa O. Clifford, owner of ROC Paper Scissors, is in the running for a $10,000 grand prize thanks to her unique and personalized greeting cards.

A Palm Harbor woman's unique greeting card business has her in the running for recognition from the queen of crafts herself, Martha Stewart.
Rosa O. Clifford, owner of ROC Paper Scissors, sells personalized and hand-crafted greeting cards for just about every occasion. She got the idea after making thank you cards for a group of therapists who worked with her son, Christopher Joseph, who has Down Syndrome.
"They came back to me and said, 'you made me feel so special with this card,' ” Clifford recently told Bay News 9. “At that moment, I thought I'd want to try and make everybody feel special with something. You’re telling them you’re going out of your way to send a message of appreciation."

She started her business 11 years ago and his since gotten national attention, appearing on Stewart's TV show. Now, she's one of 100 finalists for Martha Stewart Living Magazine's "American Made Award" — which includes a $10,000 grand prize and an appearance in an upcoming edition for one winner.
"I would love to see my greeting cards in high end retail stores across the country," Clifford said in her contest entry. "The attention to detail and design make them more than suitable for those who do not want to give an everyday card, but want to give something truly extraordinary and worthy of being a keepsake."
