Palm Harbor's 50-Year Residents Honored

Waldense "Waldy" Malouf, Charles "Charley" Jones, Marian Andrews, Gloria Brown and Jeannette Malouf have lived in Palm Harbor for 50 years or more.

Imagine living in the same town for 50 years.

It's a reality for five Palm Harbor residents who were honored at the Palm Harbor Library last weekend. 

Waldense "Waldy" Malouf, Charles "Charley" Jones, Marian Andrews, Gloria Brown and Jeannette Malouf have lived in Palm Harbor for 50 years or more.

They were honored as part of the Palm Harbor Library's Viva Florida 500 celebration, which is a series of events commemorating the 500th anniversary of Juan Ponce de Leon's arrival on Florida's east coast.

Jones hosted a storytelling at the library Saturday explaining what it was like growing up in Palm Harbor.
