Who: 156 players from the PGA TOUR
History: The tournament began in 1977 as a mixed-team event featuring PGA TOUR and LPGA professionals and became a full-field PGA TOUR event in 2000. Luke Donald, the world’s number-one player for much of 2012 (presently ranked #3 in the world), is the defending champion. Other past champions (since 2000) include FedExCup champions Jim Furyk and Vijay Singh and two-time winners Retief Goosen and K.J. Choi. Since 1977, more than $29.5 million has been raised for charity in events hosted by the event organizer, The Copperheads.
