Readers' Choice: Best Place to Get a Sugar Fix

Whether we succumb to our desires or keep them at bay, most people would probably have to admit they have a fondness for sweets. 

Here at Palm Harbor Patch, we’re unabashed lovers of all things confectionery, from candy to ice cream and cakes to pies.

. For some, all they need is a delicious glazed and a cup of coffee  to satisfy their craving for sugar. For those people, there will always be Dunkin’s. Plus they have a Baskin Robbins there, too, for all the ice cream lovers.

No this isn’t just a popular Neil Diamond song. This Tampa Road bakery produces some of the area’s sweetest treats, including pasties, cakes pies and tarts, not to mention strudel, danish, brownies and coffee cake. 

If cakes and pies are your sweetest weaknesses, then JJ’s is the perfect place for you. In addition to classic Key limes, fruit and cheese pies, this Palm Harbor Boulevard shop also offers cookies, brownies and cupcakes. 

 The name of this place says it all, as this Alternate 19 establishment sells every kind of sweet treat imaginable, including candy, cakes, ice cream and milkshakes.

Sweets at a New York style deli best known for its humongous cold cut sandwiches? You bet, because the Dill has an awesome array of pies, cakes and pastries available as an after-meal treat, or heck, even as a main meal.

With a wide variety of flavors to choose from and a quaint, small town creamery atmosphere, this Alternate 19 institution is the place to go for delicious, homemade ice creams, treats and candies.
