No need to drive far this Mother's Day. From casual to upscale, local restaurants have plenty to offer when it comes to spoiling mom on her big day.

This Sunday, thousands of families will flock to local restaurants to celebrate the person most responsible for all of us being here: Mom. 

As one of the biggest dining holidays of the year, many restaurants are sure to be packed with people who want to treat their mom to a fine meal that she  —for once — didn’t have to cook. 

With that in mind, Palm Harbor Patch compiled a list of restaurants offering Mother’s Day specials this Sunday. If you can think of a restaurant we missed, please let us know in the comments section below.

What: A special brunch served in the resort’s beautiful Inverness Hall, complete with a complimentary rose and a glass of champagne or a Mimosa. Innisbrook is also offering specials on gift cards to its luxurious Indaba Spa.

What: All moms who dine at Palm Harbor Patch’s 2012 Readers’ Choice for "best lunch" in Palm Harbor will receive a $10 gift card toward their next visit. Customers who purchase $50 or more worth of gift cards online will receive a $10 bonus gift card.

What: The recently opened casual seafood restaurant is having its grand opening celebration this weekend, so there will be plenty of activities for mom and the whole family to partake in on Sunday. Activities include live music, a boat show and hourly giveaways. Ugies will also have some budget-friendly food specials, too, such as $1 fish or shrimp tacos, $2 floats and $1.99 kids' meals.

What: Although technically not in Palm Harbor, the Clearwater-based wing chain is offering a special for Mother’s Day: All moms who dine in at Hooters on Sunday will receive 10 free boneless wings tossed in the sauce of their choice.

What: The upscale Ozona eatery will have a variety of special meals for Mother's Day including lobster ravioli, Thai coconut chicken, duck breast over coconut rice and a cedar plank sampler, featuring 3 ounces each of sea bass, salmon and grouper. Appetizers include Oysters Rockefeller with a dessert of strawberry shortcake.
