Drill Mistaken For Active Shooter At Tyndall Air Force Base
Word of the drill had not reached the law enforcement responding to what they thought was an actual gunman on the base.

PANAMA CITY, FL — Reports of an active shooter at the Tyndall Air Force Base near Panama City, Florida, Tuesday morning turned out to be false. It was an active shooter drill, WMBB reported.
Law enforcement agencies in the area apparently weren't aware of the planned drill, as several responded to the scene believing a gunman was on the base.
Dozens of police cars, firetrucks and ambulances responded, according to WMBB.
