Three Gulf Beach chefs have been named as some of the top chefs in Florida and the U.S. in the inaugural 2013 Best Chefs America list.
The chefs are:
- Tom Pritchard
- Salt Rock Grill
- 19325 Gulf Blvd., Indian Shores
- Rusty's Bistro
- 1160 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater Beach
- Carlouel Yacht Club
- 1091 Eldorado Ave., Clearwater Beach
"We asked them which chefs they respected the most, who was cooking the best food locally, who influenced them the most, what ingredients they were working with and what culinary trends they saw emerging," said Best Chefs America in a news release.
According to Best Chefs America, more than 5,000 confidential phone interviews were conducted while the list was being created.
“Chefs themselves truly understand what it takes to be successful in this competitive industry, and Best Chefs America offers them a forum to express their views on who really stands out,” said Elizabeth Fishburne, Best Chefs America’s Marketing Coordinator in a news release. “Based on the overwhelmingly positive response from more than 5,000 participating chefs, it is clear that the chef world was ready for us.”
