Belleair Bank Robbed – Have You Seen This Man?

Belleair Police say that the man handed the teller a note demanding money. He fled on a bicycle.

Belleair Police are asking the public for help in tracking down an alleged bank robber who wore his hair in dreadlocks and used a blue/silver bicycle as his getaway vehicle.

According to police, the suspect, sporting a colorful "doo rag" over dreadlocks, walked into the Fifth Third Bank, at 601 Indian Rocks Rd., on Wednesday morning. The suspect showed the teller a note asking for the money.  No weapon was seen.

He took an undisclosed amount of cash and then ran south from the bank. He was last seen riding a blue, possibly blue and silver, bike eastbound on Wildwood Road towards S. Ft. Harrison.

Police say that the man appears to be in his mid-20s and is about 5'8"-5'10." He was wearing a plaid shirt with khaki cargo type pants.
