Bon Aire Resort Celebrates 60 Years
Four generations of the Curotto Family have owned and operated Bon Aire Resort on St. Pete Beach.
The Curotto Family has owned and operated the Bon Aire Resort on St. Pete Beach for 60 years.
The Curottos came to St. Pete Beach from Chicago in 1950 and built the motel in 1953. The motel has expanded from about 14 rooms to 81. The central beach location is ideal because all of the sand from storms washes onto the resort's beach making the beach sandy and beautiful, said Catherine Curotto Grace, who co-owns the resort with her extended family.
For locals and tourists, Â Bon Aire's Sand Bar Bills is a great place to eat in the open air. It's like having a private backyard picnic with the Gulf of Mexico as the backdrop. The burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches are delicious.
