Pickup Crashes on Howard Frankland Bridge
A tire blowout caused the vehicle to plow into the highway's center barrier wall.
A 2004 Ford pickup crashed into the center barrier wall and flipped over on the Howard Frankland Bridge Thursday morning after a tire blowout, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Ramon Flores of Haines City was traveling south on the Pinellas side of the Howard Frankland Bridge at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday, when a rear tire blew out on his truck.
His vehicle veered into the center barrier wall, deflected back across the road and flipped over.

The driver was transported to Bayfront Medical Center. He sustained minor injuries.
