Police: Man Beat Victim Who Was Driving Car
The victim pulled into a gas station to get help as they were driving on Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island, police said.

A St. Petersburg man was arrested by Treasure Island Police last month after he allegedly struck with his hand a person who was driving a car as the two of them traveled on Gulf Boulevard.
George Jenkins, of St. Petersburg, was arrested May 5 and charged with felony domestic battery after he intentionally hit the victim, whose identity was not released, police said.
The arrest affidavit said the two got into an argument, then Jenkins "began to strike the victim with his hand."

Police said the victim pulled into a Rally gas station to get help. That is where two witnesses saw Jenkins hit the victim with his hand, according to police.Â
Jenkins, 41, is currently awaiting trial on a $15,000 bond. He has two previous misdemeanor battery charges, according to Pinellas County Jail records.Â
