4 Plant City Teens Arrested In Shooting Of 2 People

Four teens have been charged in a drive-by shooting that injured two people in Plant City.

PLANT CITY, FL — Four teens have been arrested in the Dec. 16 shooting of two people in Plant City.

Plant City police said they responded to a report of a shooting at 12:37 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Washington Street and found a woman with a gunshot wound to her lower body.

A man with a gunshot wound to the upper body was later located at the hospital. Both have been treated and released .

Back-up officers responding to the scene detained three teens who were passengers in a black four-door door vehicle that crashed into a tree near the shooting. All three juveniles had injuries from the crash and were taken to area hospitals where they were treated and released.

A fourth teen fled from the crash.

Plant City police detectives have determined that the four teens had fired multiple rounds from guns from the vehicle at the gunshot victims on the street.

Three of the teens are 17 years old. The fourth is 16 years old. They all live in Plant City.

On Tuesday afternoon, they were charged with attempted first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm, attempted second-degree murder with a firearm, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony with a weapon and aggravated battery with a weapon with great bodily harm.
