• Plant City Fire Rescue positive that pay increases will help retain employees (baynews9.com) — Plant City is boosting pay for all city employees, including Fire Rescue, to stay competitive and better serve a rapidly growing population. Fire Chief David Dittman says the raises and new benefits are already helping retain firefighters, add staff, and put another engine in service, improving coverage for residents. Police and solid waste workers also benefit from the citywide pay increase.
