Forklift Falls On Top Of Wesley Chapel Man, Killing Him

PLANT CITY, FL — A 23-year-old man from Wesley Chapel died after the forklift he was operating at an industrial facility in Plant City fell on top of him.

Plant City police were called to the 1700 block of Turkey Creek Road in Plant City Friday at 6:43 p.m. and arrived to find the forklift operator with life-threatening injuries. He died before he could be taken to the hospital.

Police said the man was driving the forklift when he suddenly lost control of the equipment, and it tipped over onto him. The accident is under investigation.
